Meet Olaf Morales | Language Coach
With over 20 years of experience, I am a passionate language coach dedicated to connecting language learning with culture, traditions, and community. Holding a Masters degree in English Language Teaching from the University of Southampton in the UK, a Certificate in Spanish Language Teaching from Oxford House Barcelona, and a Specialization in Teaching and Learning in EFL from Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my teaching.
Teaching Philosophy
My teaching philosophy is rooted in a cultural approach, where language learning is intertwined with cultural understanding.

I believe in creating holistic and organic learning experiences by using cultural topics to design activities and exercises.
I conduct interviews with people from various Hispanic regions and use these to develop lesson plans that introduce new grammatical structures, vocabulary, and cultural insights.
My Journey
My journey as a language coach began in my teenage years when I started teaching languages as a hobby. Born in Chiapas, Mexico, I have always been inspired by the rich culture of the Mayan civilization and the diverse traditions of different communities.
For me, teaching a language is about more than just grammar and vocabulary; it’s about sharing the culture, traditions, and celebrations that bring a language to life.
Services Offered
I offer personalized Spanish and English lessons both virtually and in person, focusing primarily on one-to-one sessions to tailor the learning experience to each student's level, motivation, interests, and objectives.
Additionally, I provide Spanish Immersion Courses in different regions of Mexico, allowing students to improve their language skills through direct interaction with native speakers.
Cultural Integration
To make learning engaging and relevant, I create curated video lessons featuring native speakers discussing their traditions, events, and cultural practices.
I have also developed 'Spanish for Life,' a series of cultural lessons designed to teach unique aspects of Mexican culture not typically covered in traditional textbooks.
Target Audience
My primary students are adult professionals who need Spanish or English for effective communication in their personal and professional lives.
By offering personalized lessons, I help them overcome challenges such as speaking confidently and understanding native speakers through a combination of cultural and communicative approaches.
